For more than 50 years, AFCMA has helped promote the many unique features and benefits of aluminum foil in food packaging. Through member efforts, foil container volume has continued to grow, along with the role of Novelis as a leading supplier of foil container stock.

On January 6, 2005, Novelis became the world’s largest aluminum rolling company, separating from Alcan, Inc. Names like Cochran Foil, Anaconda Aluminum, Arco Aluminum, and Alcan are all part of the proud heritage of Novelis, and so is our partnership with AFCMA and its members.

Our heritage in these predecessor companies permits us to trace a connection all the way back to the founding of AFCMA in 1955. Over those ensuing decades, AFCMA has been a guide and mentor for all members as we have seen our market evolve and adapt in response to the ever-changing needs and trends of the fluid society in which we live.
